Day 1 (Sun 2 Sep)

Always intended to be for the sole purpose of ‘vegging out’ after the long flight, the day worked very well.  After a ‘tub’ and tasty breakfast, followed by an expedition to the Dubai Reject Shop equivalent - to remedy a technical equipment omission (where a young lady was able to offer a less complicated solution than that being sought) - we retired to the hotel room for therapeutic rest (watched the midday movie!).  Later, the day closed with some appropriate culinary ritual (Room Service - a delicious local seafood with Persian Gulf accompaniments).
